Groups & Conferences
Accommodation
can be provided for over 50 guests in Single, Double/Twin and Family rooms, all En Suite. Bedrooms have tea and coffee-making facilities, provided with our compliments. There are some ground floor bedrooms and a passenger lift linking the ground with the first and second floors in the main hotel.
Thornleigh Coffee Stop
Thornleigh Coffee Stop is available for the convenience of guests and is open all day, hot and cold drinks, a selection of homemade biscuits, tray bakes and freshly baked fruit scones.

The BAY VIEW LOUNGE and DRAWING ROOM may be used as one room, or two individual rooms as required. Each has television and video/dvd. The Bay View lounge has the loop system installed for those with hearing deficiency.
The CHAPEL, seating 30 people in a formal arrangement, and also with the loop system, may be used for meetings or as a Conference Room. It has television, video/dvd and facilities for Powerpoint. The Chapel is often set aside for times of preparation and prayer.
A FLIP-CHART and OVERHEAD PROJECTOR are available for conference and educational purposes and there are copies of the complete Mission Praise hymn book. A clavinova is available in the Bay View lounge and an electric keyboard in the Chapel.
Our JUBILEE GARDEN is across The Esplanade, with pavilion and beautiful views of Morecambe Bay. It is an easy level walk to nearby PARK ROAD GARDENS, with a Victorian BAND STAND. There are often concerts on Sundays in the summer. The PROMENADE may be reached without having to negotiate any steps, via Bailey Lane or Main Street, but the hills are quite steep. Other access points are at the refurbished pedestrian bridge from Clare House Lane (200 yards away) and the railway station.
Thornleigh Lodge
This accommodation is designed as study-suites but it is also available, when required, as guest bedrooms. Thornleigh Lodge, located immediately to the rear of Thornleigh Hotel, has direct access from the hotel's car park. The suites are identified with the names of four of the District's lovely lakes - Windermere, Ullswater, Coniston and Grasmere. Each has a private bath and/or shower room with toilet. In addition, the bedrooms have a remote-control digital television (with Freeview), writing desk and chair, plus a comfortable settee or lounge chairs.
A visit to Grange-over-Sands will be rewarding and will prompt your group to return to Thornleigh again, and again!
