Prices are per person, per night and include VAT at 20%, for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, plus a hot drink each evening.

We have a selection of QUALITY BEDROOMS at Thornleigh Hotel & Lodge to suit the requirements of our guests. Each is EN SUITE (with bath and/or shower, hand-basin and wc), all have COMPLIMENTARY TEA and COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES and, with the exception of the lower category rooms, all have FREEVIEW TELEVISION and the convenience of a HAIRDRYER. The mid-range accommodation, upon which the Tariff is designed, is referred to as 'Lakeland' rooms, with more than half of the bedrooms falling into this category. A selection of single bedrooms, with a side view of Morecambe Bay, are known as 'Lakeland Plus' rooms, and are charged at a supplement of just £2 per night. The attractive superior bedrooms at the front of the hotel, with south-facing panoramic views of Morecambe Bay, are referred to as 'Bay View' rooms and are charged at a supplement of £5 per person, per night (with no increase since 2007). And finally, there are just a few 'Economy' bedrooms, comfortable as they are, but perhaps smaller than the majority of our bedrooms or without a comparable view, at a reduction of £2 per person, per night.

FREE WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS: Complimentary Internet access (wireless) is provided for guests in all public rooms, the 'Bay View' bedrooms and bedrooms in Thornleigh Lodge.
Thornleigh has 'level access' to all public rooms, and there is a PASSENGER LIFT serving all floors in the Hotel providing level approach to 70% of the bedrooms. However, guests unable to vacate the building by themselves, without using the lift (which may be out of service or in an emergency) must be accompanied by another person. Those occupying bedrooms above the ground floor, therefore, must be in a position to use stairs in exceptional circumstances.
Thornleigh Loyalty Scheme
We appreciate the loyalty of our guests and, for this reason, we are continuing our Loyalty Scheme. When you book a second holiday/break for 2014* you will be entitled to a 5% discount on the accommodation element of the price, increasing by 5% for each subsequent booking. Keep booking, and your discount increases! Not only that, if you recommend friend(s) to book at Thornleigh, and join them on their first visit+, you will receive one night's free accommodation, one for one, to say "Thank you!" Please inform us when making the bookings to obtain this discount.

Cancellation Cover for Hotel Bookings.
Highway Trust Limited (Thornleigh) offers cancellation cover for the benefit of guests, to prevent them having to pay more than the non-refundable deposit in respect of accommodation booked, should they have to cancel (not curtail) their booking, due to circumstances beyond their control. This does not apply to changing a booking, e.g. reducing a twin-bedded room to single occupancy, or in respect of any transport charge - see below (+).
Guests who opt out of this highly-recommended cancellation cover may do so by notifying us in writing when making a booking at Thornleigh Hotel, but they should be aware of the penalties imposed in the event of having to cancel that booking: up to 13 weeks prior to the date of arrival, the non-refundable deposit only; less than 13 weeks, 50% of the total amount due, increasing to 75% within 6 weeks, and 90% within 14 days of the expected date of arrival.
We consider, therefore, that this cover is excellent value for your peace of mind, should you have to cancel your holiday booking! Your loss is then limited to the deposit and the cancellation cover premium paid (+).
Guests, who have their own insurance and do not wish to be covered by our in-house cancellation cover, should inform us when booking and we will not include the charge (£2 per person, per night)
.[+] Should any cancellation involve a "Door to Door" holiday, a further charge of £50 per person (not covered by the cancellation cover) will be made, in addition to the forfeited deposit.
